Meet the creative team behind Famous, the new tabletop game coming soon to Kickstarter!

These images are from three different categories of cards that you will find in the game. Jared Lutes being the brain behind this entire project, I decided to draw him as the Mastering Engineer, a service provider that will help you record your songs during the finale of the game. For the Artist, my wife insisted that I be the model for that card, which is a supporter of the bands in the game, helping them with all their art needs for promotional items and albums. My wife Cindy was the obvious choice for the Perfectionist musician card, one of the band leaders you can choose at the beginning of the game that come with specific skills and ongoing effects that will help your band progress and hopefully become the most Famous.

The artwork is now complete and Jared is putting together the final touches for the Kickstarter campaign launch. Videos and photos of the gameplay will be available then, so be sure to follow us on social media for updates!

Famous: Stage I

My friend Jared Lutes designed a new board game in which you get to live the life of a musician working towards fame. He offered me the opportunity to provide the illustrations, and it’s been a great project to work on so far. We’re in first stages of preparing the game for a crowdfunding campaign, so stay tuned and follow Electric Lute’s website, as well as Jared and me on social media, to get all the latest news.

Gabby Duran and the Unsittables

Look what just arrived! I illustrated the cool aliens, humans, food bits, gadgets and gizmos pictured in this book and I’m happy to see it in print! It’s available in all major book stores and online now as a companion book to the Disney Channel TV series that first aired last fall. Find and read the original Gabby Duran books by Elise Allen and Daryle Conners, also available everywhere.

Gallery Nucleus Show!

I'm thrilled to announce that I contributed a painting in a Star vs the Forces of Evil tribute exhibition at Gallery Nucleus in Los Angeles, which opens on April 8, 2017. It's my first attempt at this kind of traditional painting for an actual art show, so I'm very excited about it. I have a few painters in my family and I'm very happy I can add to that legacy in my own way. If you're in the L.A. area please stop in, there will be a lot of great work on display. Click the image below for all the details. If like me, you're out of town, stay tuned. There will likely be updates online, when the show opens. I'll link my piece here as soon as it's made public. For now here's a small tease:
